About UMTC
UM Tagum College, the biggest among the branches of the University of Mindanao, marked its humble beginning in summer of 1950 as the first non-sectarian private school in Tagum City. It was established to cater to the educational needs of the people in this part of the country.
All through the years, UM Tagum College has gained respect from the constituents of Davao del Norte. This is because it has proven its commitment to serve the people in its more than sixty years of existence. Today, the school leads in producing CPAs, Teachers, Criminologists, Engineers and many successful government examinations passers. Moreover, it also tops in producing successful businessmen and community leaders. Indeed, it has etched a name in Davao del Norte.
UM Tagum College has two campuses. The Mabini Main and the Visayan Campus which can boast of their modern facilities such as concrete buildings,
separate libraries, science and engineering laboratories, computer laboratories, speech laboratory, a mini gym, and a cultural center with a seating capacity of 5,000 people. It is where social functions and community affairs are held.
UM Tagum College is the home for an average of 11,000 students. It has complete and updated equipment and facilities to keep abreast with the advancement of technology.
UM Tagum College: “The First in Leadership Education” has been producing competent graduates who are highly recognized in their respective fields.
UM Tagum College has been the partner of government and private sectors in various community programs and educational trainings.
UM Tagum College has established various linkages for the students’ “on-the-job” training programs, and opportunities of exposure to national and international events.
