A GRADUATE of University of Mindanao – Tagum Campus placed ninth in the May 2017 Certified Public Accountants Board Exam, besting thousands of other hopefuls in becoming among the handful of top scorers in the country.
Neil Andre Mendez Buladaco scored 90.33.
UM achieved a passing performance of 78.79% for first time takers, and an overall performance rating of 62.75%, compared to the national average passing rate of 35.14%.
According to the Professional Regulation Commission in an announcement on their website, 3,389 out of 9,645 hopefuls passed the examination given by the Board of Accountancy in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Iloilo, Legazpi, Tacloban and Davao.
Buladaco’s achievement comes in the heels of the excellent performance of the University of Mindanao in the LET board examinations, wherein BSEd in Mathematics graduate Marian Kaye Fortinez Gallego placed first with a score of 92.80%.
The top 10 in the LET board exam was dominated by UM with six others College of Teacher Education graduates entered the elite list.
