UM Tagum College once again left its footprints in the history of the Philippine licensure examinations for criminologists and certified public accountants as two UM ians dominated in the examinations bringing pride to Mindanano. Joel N. Quibol, a son of a farmer and simple housewife, ranked fourth out of 5,202 successful examinees in the June 2017 Criminology Board Examination with an average of 87.9 percent; and Neil Andre M. Buladaco, a son of ex-banana worker, the first to take a notch in the May 2017 CPA Licensure exam and the first summa cum laude in UMTC, placed ninth in the CPA licensure examination out of 3,389 passers with an average of 90.33 percent. “To be on top ay hindi madali, marami ang may gusto at nangarap subalit hindi lahat napagbigyan. God knows kung sino ang nangangailangan at Masaya ako kasi I belong, isa ako sa napagbigyan,” said Quibol on his post in his Facebook account last June 30, 2017. “New label. New chapter. The pressure does not end,” Buladaco stated as he described his success. Quibol and Buladaco add up in the list of UMTC’s achievers along with the previous topnotchers.
