The College offers various kinds of scholarship grants to students who excel in both academic and non-academic fields, as well as to poor but deserving ones.
Grant: Full scholarship grants (free tuition fee and other charges)
Grantee must have completed one (1) year residence in UM and has earned 36 units with general average of 1.5 with no grade below 1.8 in any academic subject.
The grantee must carry a load of not less than 1.8 units per semester.
UM Tagum College offers various scholarship grants to assist students with superior abilities to pass through college that they may contribute intelligent leadership in their respective community from which they come.
- Qualification: Duly certified Elementary Valedictorian of graduating class of 40 or more students.
- Duration: One year, subject to renewal of another year with no grades below 85% in any subject.
- Grant: 100% tuition only.
- Qualification: Duly certified Elementary Salutatorian of graduating class of 40 or more students.
- Duration: One (1) year, subject to renewal of another year with no grade below 85% in any subject.
- Grant: 50% tuition only.
- Qualification: Duly certified Elementary first honorable mention of the graduating class of 40 or more students.
- Duration: One (1) year, subject to renewal provided the student has no grade below 85% in any subject.
- Grant: 25% of tuition fee.
- Qualification: Duly certified Secondary Valedictorian of graduating class of 40 or more students.
- Duration: One (1) Semester, subject to renewal of another semester with no grade below 2.5 in any subject.
- Grant: 100% tuition fee.
- Qualification Duly Certified Secondary Salutatorian of graduating class 40 or more students.
- Duration: One (1) year, subject to renewal of another semester with no grade below 2.5 in any subject.
- Grant: 75% tuition fee.
- Qualification: Duly certified HS first honorable mention of the graduating class of 40 or more students.
- Duration: One (1) year, subject to renewal provided the student has no grade below 85% in any subject.
- Grant: 50% tuition fee.
- Qualifications: Duly certified HS 2nd to 5th honorable mention of the graduating class of 40 or more students.
- Durations: One (1) year, subject to renewal provided the students has grade below 85% in any subject.
- Grant: 25% of tuition fee.
- Qualification: Duly certified HS 6th to 8th honorable mention of the graduating class of 40 or more student.
- Durations: One (1) year, subject to renewal provided that the student has grade below 85% in any subject.
- Grant: 10% of tuition fee.
A scholarship of 100% free tuition fee (maximum of 21 units) shall be granted to students under a work-study program for the purpose of training for the future employment in and outside of the College. The scholarship is for a year subject to renewal under such terms and conditions stipulated in the STAP policies until the scholar completes his/her academic degree.
Among the conditions are:
- A satisfactory performance on the job.
- Average grade of 3.0 with no failing or dropped grade.
The scholar should attend band practices and College functions, comply the qualifications for membership and conditions to retain membership.
Basis: Passing of audition and recommendations by band master (50 members at most including majorettes).
Duration: One (1) Semester, subject to renewal policy.
Grant: Full scholar (100% only) / Half Scholar (50% of tuition fee only).
Full scholarship shall be given to all regular members of varsity teams who have qualified for national meet or tournament, subject yearly of privileges.
“Full scholarship means that the student is exempted from paying tuition and other charges.”
100% tuition fee privileges only for members of the varsity teams of local meet category. They are not exempted to pay the registration and miscellaneous fees.
Partial scholarship only on tuition fee for athletes on the varsity level.
Exceptional cases, however will be treated by a committee on case-to-case basis.

Basis:
- One grantee for every 500 students in each program.
- Family income of grantee does not exceeds P 60,000 a year.
- ODuration: One (1) semester, subject to renewal if all grades are passing.
- Grant: 100% of tuition (maximum of 21 units).
Immediate members (father, sons and daughters only) enrolled in the UM Tagum in excess of two will enjoy 30% discount.

- Mutya- free tuition for 21 units, one year duration
- 1st Runner up 75% tuition discount based on 21 units, one year duration
- 2nd & 3rd Runner up – 50% tuition discount based on 21 units, one year duration
- ROTC Corps Commander – free tuition (max 21 units)
- Corps Commander’s Sponsor – free tuition (max of 21 units
- Tuition waiver for employees’ dependents
- Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO)
Students desiring to avail of any of the scholarships offered should fill in the official application forms, submit pertinent documents, take the necessary examinations/auditions and appear foe personal interview at the Student Accounts Office.
Scholarships shall take effect upon the approval or acceptance as indicated in the document.
Scholarships are non-transferable.
The grantee shall carry a minimum load of at least 18 units per semester.
Unless otherwise specified, scholarships shall be for semester subject to renewal provided the terms and conditions stipulated in the scholarship contract are complied with.
The College reserves the right to withdraw any scholarship upon violation of any terms or conditions of the grant after due notice.
