Learning Resource Center (LRC) (see Gallery Facilities)

Objectives

Student Development

  • To develop student’s skills & knowledge of the Learning Resource Center/Museum.
  • To promote the use of the LRC/Museum to the academe.
  • To provide guidance on the students’ research activities.
  • To provide guidance on the students’ behavior & attitudes in the LRC/Museum.

Faculty Development

  • To promote the use of available printed AV materials & technology to teachers.

Collection Development

  • To encourage teachers to participate in the selection of appropriate specimen to be exhibited.
  • To continue updating the collection of artifacts & enriching the filipiniana costumes collection.
  • To continue acquiring new projects/exhibits for recreational & other reading materials, charts, manuals, magazines etc.

Historical Pictures & Charts

  • Update historical pictures

Diorama

  • To strengthen the collection of diorama instructional materials which enhance teaching-learning process.

Rules and Regulations
  • Students, teachers and visitors shall register first before they are allowed to enter.
  • Silence must be observed inside the area.
  • Eating and drinking inside the LRC are strictly prohibited.
  • The “HANDS OFF POLICY” on the specimens shall be strictly implemented.
  • Borrowing of LRC materials is allowed for academic purposes only. Borrowed items must be returned within 24 hours otherwise the borrower will pay a fine of P 5.00 per day. Ethnic costumes are excluded which is for exhibit proposes only.
  • The borrower is liable for any damaged or lost articles/specimen. If there is no exact replacement, he/she will be charged for its equivalent value.
  • Students are not allowed to stand by inside the LRC/Museum if they are not doing research work.
  • Guided tour is scheduled three (3) days prior to the visit of the class and shall secure REQUEST FORM from the support staff and is to be approved by the LRC/Museum Curator.

Requisition Flow

Before borrowing LRC/Museum projects/materials:

  • Obtain a borrower’s slip form the LRC/Museum.
  • Fill up the borrower’s slip completely.
  • Present the completely filled up borrower’s slip & ID to the STA’s on duty.
  • Check the materials given by the STA’s (Materials should be in good condition).

After returning of LRC/Museum project/materials borrowed:

  • Clean the materials before returning.
  • Return the materials to the STA’s on duty.
  • Get the ID from the STA’s on duty.

Monday – Friday

- 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 n.n.

- 1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.


Saturday

- 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 n.n.
